Homemade popcorn

This is a delicious easy to make snack, its gluten free, dairy free, it takes 10 minutes to prepare and it is soooo good.

You’ll need

  • popcorn kernels
  • coconut oil
  • salt
  • a saucepan or stockpot (depends how much popcorn you are making)

You put a tablespoon of coconut oil and then add enough popcorn kernels to cover the bottom of the pan put on to medium heat and shake until the kernels have coated themselves with the oil and are uniformly spread about the pan. Cover and wait.

When you start hearing the popping shake the pot softly and wait until the popping slows almost to a halt. Take the pot off of the heat, uncover and add salt (this is to taste), wait until it cools down a little put it into a ziplock bag, tupperware or whatever container you are using and take it with you! You can also get creative and add many different toppings one of my favorites is to replace the salt with Braggs Nutritional Yeast it gives it a cheesy flavor packed with nutrients!
